The emergence of each new social media platform heralds the end of Email as a significant communication channel, and yet, each time, this prognostication proves to be wrong.
The demise of Email has been greatly exaggerated.
Email was, is, and will always be a prominent fixture in how we communicate until the end of the Interwebs!
With this realization, I am pleased to announce that Cassava now supports Email as the 4th distribution channel, following in the footsteps of support for Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.
What does this mean for you?
You can now create Experiences and distribute them to audiences via Email in the same consistent manner you have come to expect from your use of closed platforms.
The open nature of Email allows you to communicate without first having to request access to resources such as an organization’s teams and their members. This open access model is a blessing, but as Spidey always reminds us: “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Yes, we are speaking of spam, our constant nemesis.
With Cassava, authors must explicitly opt-in members to an Experience before it can be published. As a creator of Training programs with a good reputation, I know that you will welcome this step to protect your audience members.
Members receive distributions via Email. Interaction with the content leads users to our companion Web application, where they can dive deeper, mark Rounds as complete, take Assessments, and track their status.
All insight continues to be available to you as you have come to expect.

Already have a presence with us?
Lovely.
There is no explicit platform linkage needed as with closed channels. Build your audience as outlined above and publish.
You can take an Experience initially designed for an audience in Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Webex and expand its reach to Email with little to no changes on your part.
Cassava handles all of the content formatting and publishing nuances for you.
Yes, you read that right.
Your audience will thank you for dramatically lowering their need to switch context, thus remaining focused and productive.
For folks who have registered using a closed channel such as Slack or Microsoft Teams, you may wonder if it is also possible to send previews via Email.
Absolutely yes!
Configure an email for previews and proceed as before. No stress, no mess.
How do I get started?
The Product Integration page is a great place to get up and running with Cassava via Email.
As always, I welcome your feedback.
